Flat Roof

affordable flat roofing services
Flat roofs can be a big advantage in many different ways. There is an argument to be made though that they are the types of roofs that require the most care. If you are thinking about installing one of these roofs there are a couple of things that you should probably consider. As with any type of roof, having a proper roof design can go a long way in making sure that you are not going to have any trouble moving forward. With a proper roof design and decent maintenance, this type of roof can hold up really well!

Flat Roofing Design
If you are giving us a call to set up a roof from scratch or essentially convert an old roof the most important part of the process is going to be the design part. In flat roofing, we don’t just want to use multiple layers between the roof and the ceiling of your home to help prevent moisture issues. We still want to minimize the possibilities of moisture build-up with a proper design. That ideally incorporates some type of slope in the roof. To give it at least a natural way to direct rainwater out of the roof and onto the ground.

Flat Roof Repair
When flat roofs are set up correctly and they are given what we could call decent maintenance they are going to hold up pretty well. There are moments though with older roofs where some weaknesses start to show. If you are seeing moisture spots in your ceiling it can be a sign that your roof is not holding up all too well. If that is the case we are going to be able to repair it rather quickly actually. We need to spot the areas that are damaged and actually literally dig into the problem. To be able to seal cracks or replace specific layers of the roof!

How Long Should A Flat Roof Last?
The original installation is set to last around 10 to 15 years. Essentially you can continue to update it though. To make sure that it can remain relatively the same year after year. There are different ways to help your roof last a long time. We realize that compared to some of the other roofing options that we offer this is not exactly the most long-lasting one. We’ve designed and built flat roofs that were able to remain in place for a bit longer than that.

Flat Roof Inspections
In flat roofing, it’s always very important to spot moisture concentration in particular areas. Just getting us to inspect your roofing from time to time can go a long way. As in doing so we are going to be able to spot any potential developing issues and remedy them before they turn into a major problem. If you feel relatively safe walking out on your flat roof you can actually make those inspections on your own constantly. Then give us a call when you spot any potential problem.
